Puzzle 1:
Twelve people are sitting in two
parallel rows containing six people each, in such a way that there is an equal
distance between adjacent persons. In row -1 - P, Q, R, S, T and V are seated
and all of them are facing south. In row-2 - A, B, C, D, E and F are seated and
all of them are facing North. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each
member seated in a row faces another member of the other row. P sits third to
the left of T. Neither P nor T sits at an extreme end of the line. A sits
second to the right of E. Neither A nor E faces T or P. A does not sit at an
extreme end. R does not face A and R does not sit at an extreme end of the
line. Only one person sits between F and C. Neither F nor C faces T. C does not
sit at the extreme end. Only one person sits between V and Q. F is not an
immediate neighbour of B and A does not face V.
Puzzle 2:
Six friends – Deepa, Vandana, Anita,
Nikita, Rashmi and Sonika have ordered six different food items which are
Chola- Bhatura, Chowmein, Pizza, Burger, Dosa and Idli not necessarily in same
order. Each one likes a different type of Ice cream Mango, Strawberry, Black
Current, Vanilla, Choco chip and Butter Scotch again not in the same order.
Nikita did not like Idli. Rashmi order Pizza and likes Mango ice cream. Anita
likes Black Currant ice cream and did not order Idli. The one who likes Vanila
ice cream has ordered Dosa, Sonika ordered Burger and does not like Butter
Scotch. The one who likes Choco chip has ordered Chowmein. Deepa and Vandana
not like Choco chip. Deepa does not like Butter Scotch.
Puzzle 3:
R Q, R. S, T, V, W are sitting in a
straight line facing north. Each one of them works in different companies viz.
Olay, Tressme, Tide, Ford. Ferrari, Sunsilk and Santoor. Q sits fourth to the
left of the person working in Sunsilk. Either Q or the person working in
Sunsilk sits at the extreme end of the line. Only one person sits between Q and
W. W works in Tide. The person working in Olay sits third to the right of S. S
is not an immediate neighbor of W. Only one person sits between T and the
person who works in Tressme. P and R are immediate neighbors of each other. P
does network in Sunsilk. One who works in Ferrari sits third to the right of
the one who works in Santoor.
Puzzle 4:
A committee has nine members A, B, C,
D, E. F. G, H and I and it is divided into three groups, viz Play group,
Entertainment group and Food group — with three members in each group. There
are certain conditions for the formation of the groups. Only three members will
be selected in each group. One person cannot be selected for more than one
group. A is in the Play group. H is in the Entertainment group.
C and D are in the same group but not in the group of I. A and B are not in the
same group. E is not in the same group as I but is in the Food group. F is in
the group in which either H or B or both of them are present. I and H are not
in the same group. F is neither with E nor with I.
Puzzle 5:
Six persons A, B, C, D, E and F are
sitting in row - I facing South but not necessarily in the same order and each
of them is working in a different company among Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, SAPIENT
, HDFC and Axis. Six persons P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting in row - II facing
north but not necessarily in the same order and each of them is working in a
different company among Google, Infosys, Accenture, IBM, Capital One and ICICI.
Each person in one row faces exactly one person from the other row. A is third
from the left end and is opposite the person who is to the immediate right of
the IBM employee. The IBM employee is opposite the person who is to the
immediate left of the TCS employee. The Google employee and the SAPIENT
employee sit at right ends in their respective rows. C is a SAPIENT employee,
and is adjacent to E. D sits opposite Q and to the left of A but does not sit
at any extreme. B is not adjacent to D but opposite P. The ICICI employee sits
neither at an end nor opposite A, but sits to the right of P. The Accenture employee
is adjacent to neither the Infosys employee nor the Capital One employee. S
sits at an end. R is opposite the Amazon employee but sits at neither end. T is
opposite the HDFC employee and the Microsoft employee is second to the right of
the Axis employee. The Capital One employee is not adjacent to P.
Puzzle 6:
Six exams Maths, science, History,
Economics, English and Hindi are to be scheduled starting from 2nd March and
ending on 8th march wit Sunday being an off day, not necessarily in the same
order. Each of the exam has different time duration: 40 mins, 50 mins, 60 mins,
75 mins, 90 mins and 100 mins, again not necessarily in the same order. 8th
march is not sunday and an exam of 40 mins is scheduled on that day. Maths exam
is for less than 60 mins and is scheduled immediately before English exam.
There are two exams scheduled between Hindi exam which is for 100 mins and
History exam which is for 60 mins. English exam is before Sunday and there are
two days between sunday and maths exam. Economics exam which is for 75 mins is
not scheduled on 2nd march. The exam schedules on saturday is of 100 mins.
Puzzle 7:
There are eight friends, namely
Aniket, Neeraj, Vineet, Prashant, Saurabh, Santosh, Anand and Trilok. All of
them own a different 2- wheeler, namely Bajaj, Hero, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha,
TVS, LML and Harley Davidson, though not necessarily in the same order. All of
them are sitting around a circular table facing the centre. Trilok is not a
neighbour of Neeraj while Santosh owns neither LML nor Harley Davidson. There
is only one person between Aniket and Prashant. Vineet, who owns TVS, is third
to the left of the one who owns Honda. The one who is sitting opposite the one
who had Hero owns Harley Davidson. Neither Aniketnor Prashant has Honda. There
are two persons between Saurabh and Anand, who own Heroand Yamaha respectively,
but neither of those two persons is Vineet. Aniket is second to the left of
Saurabh and owns Suzuki. Neeraj is an immediate neighbour of Anand.
Puzzle 8:
(1) There are seven persons A, B, C,
D, E, F and G based in Delhi. Each of them is from a different state, has a
different profession, and plays a different instrument.
(2) C, a doctor, is from Bihar.
(3) E and F play mandolin and violin,
though not necessarily in that order.
(4) A
is not from Kerala.
(5) The person from Kerala is an
engineer and plays guitar.
(6)The lawyer plays sitar.
(7) The businessman from UP plays

Puzzle 9:
Eight
friends−J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q live on eight different floors of a building
but not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor of the building is
numbered one, the one above that is numbered two and so on till the topmost
floor is numbered eight. J lives on floor numbered 4. Only one person lives
between J and L. O lives on the floor immediately below L. Only one person
lives between O and P. P lives above O. O lives on floor numbered 5. Only one
person live between K and N, M lives on an even numbered floor but does not
live on floor numbered 8. K lives below Q’s floor A ,B, C, D and E are five men
sitting in a line facing to south - while M, N, O, P and Q are five ladies
sitting in a second line parallel to the first line and are facing to North. B
who is just next to the left of D, is opposite to Q. C and N are diagonally
opposite to each other. E is opposite to O who is just next right of M. P who
is just to the left of Q, is opposite to D. M is at one end of the line.
